Technology
Technology has a positive impact on my life. All my most proud projects I was able to do at my school using either Powerpoint or Imovie. Technology is especially great for school, for example, home work. Home work is now easily accessible because teachers can post home work or the things done in class on the website, a great website that is commonly used in my school is Edmodo. Technology is also great because it makes it a lot easier to communicate with teachers, friends, family, and other schools. Technology and its many advancements has made me want to become more advanced into this field of study. That is why I now take multiple tech classes such as, multimedia, visual basic, and tech integration. I love technology and how it has impacted my life positively, and I can't wait to see what's coming next!

Starting the year out as a techie was rather stressful. For the first quarter it was primarily getting Ipads out to every student in the school and then fixing them when ever there was a problem. It eventually got done but it was definitely a difficult task. I feel like I learned a life lesson from being a techie.

GradeCam is online software that allows teachers to scan grades directly into the gradebook that they are already using. An example of the one teachers use is Naiku. Naiku is not only easier for the teacher because they don't have to spend their time grading each and every test, but its beneficial for the students too. Naiku allows you to see the grade you get as soon as you click end test. As a techie we had GradeCam installed on the teachers computers and Ipads. With Casper Focus, distractions are no longer an issue. With just a couple taps of their own iPad, teachers can zero students in on a single app or Safari webpage. They are able to perform these tasks from their own iPad. To learn more http://www.jamfsoftware.com/products/casper-focus/

Something new this year that came to our school and made it even better was the NVAS Coffee Shop! The shop would have never been made possible if it wasn't for Key Club member and any of the volunteers. People made donations so we could open it up, people even donated couches! As a techie our job is to run the coffee shop and make coffee for who ever wants some. Its my favorite part about being a techie! to find out more thats going on in the coffee shop or more pictures you can go on the schools facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/NVKnights/timeline
